Corazon Aquino, the first woman Philippine president, died of colon cancer in 2010. Cancer never chooses its victims, whether you are poor or rich nor you are holding a social status or not. You wonder where we get the colon cancer — canned goods, half-cooked dishes, high red meat consumption and low intake of fresh fruits and veggie.
While we are young, we have to take precaution on our diet and lifestyle. Let us start by including in our daily consumption food that acts as colon cleanser. A fiber-rich meal is thought to reduce the risk of having colon cancer, however, there is yet a study that clearly establishes the link. Better yet, we need to put our nutrition first and keep a healthy body.
