Cheapest Bohol Tour Package

If it’s your first time to travel to Bohol, here’s a complete guide on what to do. Book a flight via Tagbilaran on any airline you prefer. Some would advise you to take a cheap bohol tour package (accommodation, countryside tour, panglao tour, island hopping tour) but this is ultimately pricey!

So my advice on how to get the cheapest bohol tour package, plan your itinerary! Here’s a sample computation for 6/pax. (Compared to the average cheapest tour packages that ranges from P3,000 to P7,000 per head!)

1. Accommodation
You can contact whites and greens beach resort, they offer the best and affordable accommodations in Bohol. We stayed there, i should know. There’s a room of P2,000 per night for two that can accommodate up to 6/pax with additional 300/head. It will only cost P3,200 for 6/pax for an estimate of P533/head for a night!

2. Van/Car
You can rent for a car or van that can take you to a countryside tour and panglao tour (contact a car or van here). Tour per day is P2,500 and just pay your own entrance fees to every destination. P833.33/head for two day tour (countryside and panglao).

3. Boat
You can also rent for a boat that will take you to balicasag island and virgin island for only P2,000 per day. P333.33/head for the island tour

4. Entrance Fees
Pay for all the entrance fees on your own. Here is the list of the famous destinations in Bohol and their corresponding entrance fees as of November 2010:

Blood Compact Shrine : no entrance fees = 0
Tarsier Watch: Smallest primate : donation
Hanging Bridge : 10/head = 60
Manmade Forest : no entrance fees = 0
Butterfly Sanctuary : 20/head/ 10/children = 120
Chocolate Hills : 50/head; 25/head children = 300
Loboc River Cruise and Luncheon : 300/head buffet. 100/head entrance = 2400
Prony the Python Snake: The largest in captivity 250kg. : 10/head = 60
Baclayon Church: 25/head museum = 150
Dauis Church (miracle water): no entrance fee = 0
Biggest Ostritch : 20/head; 10/children = 120
Hinagdanan Cave : 15/head = 90
Bohol Bee Farm : 20/head = 120
* Total of P3,420 divided by 6/pax = ONLY P570/head on all the entrance fees for countryside and panglao tour.

Your total cost for the whole 3 days and 2 nights is P2,803.33! Much much cheaper than getting a cheap bohol package tour you see online!

You can start saving for your terminal fee from manila to tagbilaran of P200, terminal fee from tagbilaran to manila of P20, food for your 3 days and 2 nights, and pasalubong. But still a maximum of P5,000 savings per head on your bohol getaway can go a very long way!!

    Hi,

    Thanks for this valuable information!

We’re going to bohol this month and will stay in WAG, I hope you can answer some my questions here:
    1. From the resort is it easy to go around? let’s resto hopping(from other hotels/resorts to another)

    2. If yes to above, is it by tricycle?

    3. How is the food in WAG resort ? :)

    Thanks in advance!

    hi,

Thanks for this.. thank God I found your blog. I have been searching for driver/car rental for our Bohol trip on June 2011 coz I dont wanna avail the tour packages on the net because they are costly and I am also afraid that they have hidden charges and all. Good thing all the infos are here.. I’ll be travelling with my hubby and my 3-year old daughter.I believe you travelled with your daughter too :) Hope ours will be as wonderful as your experience in Bohol.. Big thanks!:)

Surely I’ll consider White and Greens coz I haven’t arrange our accommodation yet. I should start searching for accommodation along the panglao(not necessarily beach front), comfy but not so pricey. Do they have a pool in WAG? Thanks!

          March 12, 2011 | 3:25 pm

the pool is under construction when we were there nov 2010. i hope it’s ready by june this year! :)

Wow! Thanks for the very detailed account Niko. I wish I saw your blog as early as I started researching for our Bohol trip. I should have saved a lot of time.

The room that you mentioned that costs Php2000, do you think it would still be spacious and comfortable enough for 5 adults? (think you were with your hubby and kids) and do you remember if they have hot or warm shower? Thanks a bunch! :)

    • admin
      March 14, 2011 | 1:30 am

hi pang, i guess it can hold up to 5 adults, some cottages have double decks i think :D
i was with my husband and my 3yr old daughter and the 2,000 room is soo big for us.
i don’t know if other bathrooms has hot or warm shower though, coz we don’t have that in our cottage, which was newly built by that time.

      =)

if you would get kuya rey’s service (the van for hire) he can refer you to the bangkero or boatman. usually boat for hire in Bohol ranges from 1800 to 2k i think.

      enjoy bohol! :)

Hi. I find your post really helpful. I’d like to ask if we hire a van, to which places will the driver bring us? Could we dictate an itinerary? Do you also know any affordable island tours? Thanks and will really appreciate your reply.

you can contact WAG, may 2k silang room for two and 4k for family. u can discuss ur options with them.
you can hire the driver with a fix rate, you can ask him too for his rates just call him. he will drive on the whole tour and no need to pay for his lunch.
