Essence of being a Woman

A woman is made to be fragile outside yet so strong inside. She is sensitive enough to feel the emotion attached to any circumstance. If a woman is made out of the ribs of a man, then, who is she to play a part in the society? What is the essence of being a woman?

Woman as a wife. When two people become one through the sacrament of marriage, the wife is expected to be submissive to the husband. She takes part in laying down the pros and cons of probable decisions of her partner. She, having the strong emotional investment, backs up in the moment of unsteadiness prevailing in him. She replaces the mother in caring for her husband. She is dedicated to share with him the passion and bliss in founding the relationship. She makes him into a full potential of a man by giving him children and starting anew with a family.

Woman as a mother. There is nothing more special than to have a body as instrument of birth of another life. Every part in her runs coordinately with another to profess the significance of a woman’s role. After bearing a child for nine months in a delicate condition, she starts to rear her children. Mothers are the first teachers of every child. She instills in them values and virtues of life. She keeps their security out of risk and molds them into someone who can face the future independently. Her touch is her kids’ healing sword. As the saying goes, mother knows best. Indeed, motherhood extends from womb to tomb.

Woman as a friend and sister. Every woman has the ability to put her friend into a comfort zone. She always lends her ear for everyone’s stories. Her shoulder is always available for somebody to cry on. She is there to share the joy and pain. She cries when everyone cries and laughs when all are laughing. She makes a friend to realize what the best options for her are. She never lets any of the people around her down.

Discussing about a woman will not be enough to give justice on any clear depiction of her essence. Words can never be sufficient to describe the sweetness and difficulty of being a wife, a mother, a friend and a sister in one.
