My love affair with IMRC

I was thrilled, loved, disappointed and heartbroken with IMRC in just a span of one week.

I signed up at IMRC last august 26, at 4pm. It was another source of online income, my mareng pehpot told me. So at 10pm I received an email that my account was approved and I became a member of their community. i felt loved. :)

Yesterday, mareng pehpot told me to try commenting, it is from commenting or rating (and a lot of blah blahs for products and services) that you earn points that can be converted to money. So I made my comment at 5pm. The site said they will approve comment within 2 -3 hours.

Just this morning, my comment was approved. It made me happy, it was my first time. But when I tried to sign up and tried to browse around the site I cannot sign in anymore because my account has been cancelled. So I emailed right away and asked why was my account canceled. I need to know.

Because I still cannot believe that I have a canceled account, I tried searching for their FAQ and landed on their website’s BLOG. Updated sep 2, 2009 which said;

Update to our International user policy
Effective immediately we are no longer accepting new users from the Philippines, Malaysia or Singapore. We are just seeing too much fraud and inappropriate use of the site coming from these countries. For all the details on our updated policy on international users, please see this Frequently Asked Question on the FAQs page.
Active existing users from these countries are NOT affected by this policy change.
We are however canceling existing user accounts from these countries who signed up and have no activity and no credits owed.

heartbroken as i was, here’s my comment to them:

i am trying to access my account today and found out it has been cancelled. i wonder why ALL NEW users from malaysia, philippines and singapore are banned. If this is something to do with ‘FRAUDULENT Activities’ why ban ALL NEW users, not all are doing such scheme. I had made my first comment yesterday and it went through, i am a new user and just signed up last week.

i really think it is UNFAIR to all filipinos who would like to participate in this community to be judged as a sham and be thrown up just like that!

i just want my voice to be heard, i am a proud filipino and i don’t do anything that’s ‘inappropriate’ for your website.

thanks and more power to IMRC!

I just want fairness. If the site detects fraudulent activities from said countries why don’t they ban the IP address of those who do the fraudulent acts? It is unfair to ban all new user. It is not about begging them to reinstate my account. (if they do, i might not even try to comment again, i was hurt, really hurt- hahah LOL)

infairness, and gusto ko lang fairness. :)
